Campaign Story

Problem:

The differently-abled are often ignored and neglected by society due to their unique conditions. Due to their disabilities, these poor individuals cannot work in normal jobs and are forced to find alternate income sources. Many are not qualified or literate enough to join professional environments, and the growing number of these differently-abled individuals is a nationwide problem in India.

Solution:

People with disabilities are often neglected and undermined when it comes to their alternate abilities, which can enable them to live a normal dignified life. Tayyab Foundation is deeply involved with the differently abled, exploring their existing capacities and building fresh employable and entrepreneurial skills. Under this program, a tricycle is smartly converted into a mobile shop in which initial inventory of merchandise is stocked. The operator uses it for his/her mobilization and income generation. The beneficiaries are further trained in basic entrepreneurial skills and connected with various government schemes so that they can maximize their opportunities for better livelihood.

Only $600 can help the differently-abled earn a respectable income! Quantity Needed = 20

Impacts:

  1. The differently-abled start working and receiving well-earned income
  2. For the first time, they can proudly become contributors not dependents of society
  3. Overall poverty is reduced through community welfare
